067. Beef with oranges (recipe)
The combination of meat and citrus may seem a little unusual. The sweetness of the oranges and the sharpness of the other ingredients give the beef a very interesting flavour. The dish comes out original and well worth your attention.

Cooking time ≈ 25 minutes.
Ingredients:
- 700 g beef
- 3 oranges
- a head of garlic
- cornflour
- vegetable oil
- spring onions
- soy sauce (optional)
Grate the zest of one orange and squeeze out its juice. Mix with the garlic and the soy sauce (I didn't add it, but with it the taste will be sharper).
Peel the remaining oranges. Cut them into 1 cm rounds, then cut the rounds in half. Remove the pips.
Cut the meat across the grain into strips 1 cm thick. Toss the pieces of beef with the cornflour. Heat the vegetable oil well in a pan. Fry the meat on all sides (4–5 minutes) and put it on a plate.
Pour the orange-juice mixture into the pan. Boil for about 1 minute. Return the meat to the pan. Add the orange pieces and the chopped spring onions. Stir.
Serve the meat with boiled white rice.
Bon appétit!
