126. Easter almond macaroons (French recipe)

Less than a day is left before one of the main Christian holidays! People are already wondering what to cook for Easter, so I couldn't let the occasion pass and decided to make something unusual. Easter almond macaroons to a French recipe, for instance. Details and photos of how to make these French pastries (or rather biscuits) are under the cut.

Cooking time ≈ 30 minutes.
Ingredients:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 lime
  • 1 glass of sugar
  • 2 glasses of almonds

Preheat the oven to 135°C. Chop the lime zest finely.

Grind the almonds.

In a large bowl, whisk the whites to a firm foam with a mixer. Add the zest

Then carefully fold in the sugar and the almonds.

Line a baking tray with parchment and grease it with a little vegetable oil. Spoon out the mixture, 1 teaspoon per macaroon, leaving 3–4 cm between them. Bake for 20–30 minutes, until they are firm and golden. Cool for 5–10 minutes, then take them off the parchment.

Bon appétit!
