About me
About me
Hi.
My name is Vadim Drobinin. I'm a schoolboy, and that doesn't bother me in the least — everyone is equal on the Net. I study in the maths class of an average lyceum, which means I study chemistry and biology that I have absolutely no use for, try not to fall asleep in computer science, and look forward to geometry lessons.
Computer science is not at all what I'd like to tie my future to. It just happens to be the only subject in the school curriculum that has anything to do with computers. And computers aren't the best answer either. To be honest, sometimes I hate them. A computer is just a go-between. A go-between between me and the Net. And the Net… the Net is a new world.
Night, day, lessons, free time — we're on the Net. Internet addiction? Ha, how naive! With that romantic word, which lacks only a cigarette holder and a long cigarette, you try to soften a harsh reality. We, all of us, are caught in a trap that has locked us "outside" the real world. The Internet is a new Kingdom, with new rules. There is a different elite here. Here we are the Kings. Why? You still don't get it?
For us, the inhabitants of the Net, it makes no difference whether a person is rich or not, black or white, whether he owns a villa in the Canaries or lives on bread and water. Political squabbles are alien to us; we don't feud. We don't try to squeeze profit out of everything that moves, or to shake up what doesn't move and squeeze out even more. We don't kill, don't steal, don't destroy.

That's exactly why I want to tie my future not to the computer, but to the Net.
In my free time (when it suddenly appears) I'm into a few things: competitive swimming, good books, the Rubik's cube, capoeira. There were days when I did ballroom and competitive dancing, parkour, pen spinning (well, I still spin now and then), played Quake 3 and HoM&M, learned Latin. Now, sadly, there's no time for that. But if the chance comes, I'll certainly go back to it.
We may well have met on the Net already. I'm on VK and Facebook, on Twitter and Habrahabr. My poems can be found on Stihi.ru and my prose on Proza.ru. You can ask me something anonymously. You can even follow what music I listen to.
I see my near future quite clearly. I strive not so much for the superficial setting and reaching of goals as for understanding the path I'm about to walk. I don't think there's a name for it, but solipsism is fairly close in spirit.
I know perfectly well what I need to do to reach the final goal. You think some action of mine makes no sense? You just don't know the motives! Maybe one day I'll tell you about them, but not now.
If you have any questions or suggestions for me — write (work@valzevul.ru), we'll talk ;).
