110. Banana and tangerine cake (recipe)

The New Year has already come, but the holidays go on. What to treat guests to when the only food you have left is fruit, kefir bought in advance and chocolates? Make a banana and tangerine cake! Photos and the festive recipe are under the cut. Happy New Year!

Cooking time ≈ 1 hour.

Ingredients:

  • 5 tangerines
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 glass of muesli
  • 1 glass of cereal flakes
  • 250 g white chocolate
  • 0.5 l kefir
  • 200 ml 35% cream
  • 40 g gelatine
  • 250 g sugar

Pour a little water over the gelatine, leave it for half an hour (to swell) and melt it in a bain-marie.

Melt the chocolate (also in a bain-marie).

Add the muesli and flakes to it and mix thoroughly.

Spread the mixture in a tin lined with parchment (ideally a springform one). Leave in the fridge for half an hour — the chocolate should set.

Whip the cream. Mix the kefir with the sugar and stir thoroughly.

Combine the kefir and cream, pour in the warm gelatine in a thin stream (stirring all the time). Put the mixture into the tin.

Decorate the soufflé with tangerines and bananas. Do this as quickly as possible: because of the gelatine the mixture thickens very fast.

Put in the fridge for another half hour so the soufflé sets completely. Decorate the top with the remaining tangerines (bananas darken too quickly, so don't use them).

Bon appétit!
