Today is Mother's Day, so I decided to treat my mum to a very tasty "Three chocolates" cake: layers of milk, white and dark chocolate, cream liqueur and whipped cream. Of course, I'm far more upset that Izhevsk has no Starbucks or IKEA, but it's a shame all the same — 600,000 people miss out every day on a chance to eat a "signature" cherry pie from McDonald's. 101. Frog legs (classic French recipe)

Not long ago I made a few French dishes — a Basque-style gratin with eggs and a gratin with potatoes and bacon. I think that most of us, on hearing the words "French cuisine", picture not gratin at all but frog legs.
